PUI YIN KUI has an architecture degree from the University of Newscastle and an MBA degree from Griffith University, both in Australia.

However, he still felt that he needed extra qualifications so he enrolled in the IPD OUM Executive Master of Science in Project Management programme.

“I have worked in an architecture firm for several years and have been a project manager from 2003 until now. Early this year, I established my own project management consultancy firm with two business partners. We specialise in total project management from initiation process to delivery of finished products or projects to clients,” says Pui.

Even though the Kuching native found it challenging to manage work, family and studies at the same time, he looks forward to networking with his classmates for future endeavours in the field of project management.

According to Pui, project managers usually do not have a basic background in handling projects. “A formal qualification will give us an edge in the competitive market and help us to be recognised in the field of project management.”

IPD OUM specialises in professional courses and training.
